Rs 1.1 Cr Worth Brown Sugar Seized by STF in Angul Dist, 2 Drug Peddlers Arrested

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police’s Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police arrested two drug peddlers in Angul district and seized more than 1.1 kg of heroin worth over Rs 1.1 crore from their possession.

Acting on intelligence input, the STF personnel with the help of Angul district police raided places in Talcher on Monday

According to a STF release on Tuesday, two persons were apprehended during the raids. They included an inter-state drug peddler identified as Rakibul Sekh (43) of Farakka in Murshidabad district of West Bengal and Bijay Birbarma (26) of Talcher.

During search, contraband brown sugar weighing more than 1.1 kg (1120 gram) and other incriminating materials were recovered and seized from their possession.
