Paris: Ace Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen showcased his dominance yet again, securing a decisive victory against Belgium’s Julien Carraggi in the group stages of the Men’s Badminton at the Paris Olympics on Monday. Sen triumphed in straight sets, 21-19, 21-14, further solidifying his reputation as a force to be reckoned with.

The first game was a tightly contested affair, with Sen facing stiff resistance from the unranked Belgian. After an initial lead, Sen found himself trailing as Carraggi applied pressure, tying the game at 18-18. However, Sen’s resilience shone through as he edged out a 21-19 win.

The second game saw Sen surge ahead with a commanding 11-4 lead at the halfway mark. Although Carraggi mounted a brief comeback, narrowing the gap to 14-10, Sen quickly regained control. A scoring spree saw him extend his lead to 18-10 before sealing the game 21-14, clinching the match.
