Sexual Assault Accused SCB Doctor Arrested

Cuttack: A senior resident doctor of the Cardiology Department at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack was arrested in connection with a case of sexual assault on patients.

The accused doctor identified as Dilbag Singh was arrested by the personnel of the Mangalabag police station after relatives of the victims lodged complaints against him.

The state Health Department constituted a three-member committee to investigate the sexual assault allegation against the doctor. The committee comprises of Prof. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar Mishra, DMET, Odisha, Prof. (Dr.) Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra, Superintendent, SCBMCH, Cuttack and Dean & Principal, SCB Medical College, Cuttack, Prof. (Dr.) Roma Rattan, Joint DMET, Odisha. The committee will probe into the allegations and recommend appropriate action to the government, the notification of the Health Department stated.

As per reports, the accused doctor allegedly sexually assaulted two female patients in the ECG room.
