Six Persons Injured in Explosion at Chemical Plant in Ganjam

Berhampur: Six persons were injured in an explosion at a chemical factory near Ganjam town in the Ganjam district on Friday.

According to reports, this mishap occurred because of a fire accident at a chloric acid pipeline connected to the chemical plant. Out of the six injured, three in critical condition were shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

After receiving information, personnel of the fire brigade and police rushed to the spot to douse the fire. They managed to rescue other workers trapped within the factory premises after the accident.
