SpaceX to Launch World’s Largest Private Satellite to Space Tomorrow

Elon Musk’s SpaceX will launch the world’s largest private satellite, JUPITER-3 to space on Thursday. Space-X’s Falcon Heavy rocket will carry the satellite to its orbit around the earth. This rocket will be launched from Complex 39A in Florida.

It will be seventh launch for SpaceX’s triple-booster rocket, Falcon Heavy. The launch is scheduled for 8:34 am IST on July 27.

JUPITER-3 is a communication satellite developed by Maxar Technologies in Palo Alto, California. It is the largest commercial communications satellite ever built.

It measures around 40-50 meters.

Providing additional 500 Gbps, this satellite will enable the company to cater to more customers, particularly in areas where cable and fiber connectivity are unavailable or unreliable.

The communications satellite will support in-flight Wi-Fi, maritime connections, enterprise networks, backhaul for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), and Community Wi-Fi solutions across North and South America.
