ChatGPT’s Android Version Available in India, Know How to Download

ChatGPT’s Android app for India has just been released. It is available for free. But there is an optional subscription to access a better large language model (GPT-4) and additional features. The Android version of the ChatGPT app is being made available to users in the US, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil in a phased manner.

Anyone in India can download the ChatGPT Android app through the Google Play store. It is compatible with devices running on Android 6.0 or later.

It is an app of 6MB in size. Users who pre-registered will only need to update the app from the store.

*To download the ChatGPT app, first go to the Google Play Store’s and search out ChatGPT Android app page.

*Tap on the Install button to download and install.

*If you are not already signed in, open the app and enter your Google ID and password when requested.

*Who were using the app can enter existing credentials.

*Once done you can access and use ChatGPT on the smart phone.

ChatGPT platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) to search the web for information relevant to the keywords provided by the user and presents it in relevant text form. It provides answers to questions, tailored advice, creative inspiration, professional inputs, and learning opportunities to its users.

Its web version launched in November 2022, has over over 100 million registered users. Because of it, major tech companies Meta, Google, and Apple are developing their own versions of AI-powered chatbots.

ChatGPT was exclusive to Apple’s iOS since May 2023.
