Suffering Repeated Sexual Abuse by Father Class X Girl Ends Life In Puri Dist

Puri: After suffering alleged sexual abuse by her father, a girl studying in class X committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan in her room on Saturday night in Matipada village in Konark of Odisha’s Puri district.

According to reports, it is alleged that the girl’s father was sexually abusing her for the last few days. The victim had told her mother about it.

Although the victim’s mother reprimanded her husband regarding the gruesome act, he continued to sexually assault his minor daughter.

Unable to bear the shame and pain, the girl is suspected to have ended her life, said locals. Finding her hanging, the mother of the victim rushed her to the Gop Community Health Centre, where doctors declared her dead.

Meanwhile, Konark police station has registered a UD case and has started an investigation into the case. However, the family has not registered any complaint with the police regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, the girl’s father is absconding since the death of his daughter. The victim’s mother has demanded strict legal action against the culprit.
