Supreme Court Forms National Task Force On Hospital Safety While Hearing Kolkata Rape-Murder Case

New Delhi: The Supreme Court began hearing the Kolkata doctor’s rape-murder case on Tuesday. As its initial intervention, the apex court formed a national task force of doctors to make recommendations on safety at their workplace.

The Supreme Court has directed this task force to submit an interim report within three weeks. The task force will have to furnish the final report within two months.

The task force will make recommendations related to safety, working conditions and the well-being of the medical professionals and other relevant matters, said the Chief Justice.
