Three Wild Bears Stray into House in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Three wild bears strayed out of the forest and entered a house in the middle of the night in MV 7 village under the Sadar block of Malkangiri district of Odisha.

This incident was recorded by a CCTV camera. The video clip shows three bears making an entry into the house of one Arun Dewan. The wild animals jumped over the boundary wall to enter the house.

Inside the house, the bears searched for food materials and left the premises after a few hours.

According to the inhabitants of MV 7 village, wild bears are straying into their area regularly because of which they fear coming out of their houses at night.

It is suspected that deforestation has led to habitat loss and food scarcity, which is compelling the wild bears to stray into the human habitat in search of food.
