To Heighten Their Protest, Tamil Nadu Farmers Climb Mobile Tower in Delhi

New Delhi: Taking their demonstration to new heights, some protesting farmers from Tamil Nadu, including a woman, climbed onto a mobile tower at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Wednesday.

These farmers are demanding better prices for their crops and river interlinking to address irrigation woes.

According to police sources, some of the protesting Tamil Nadu farmers, who had gathered at Jantar Mantar, climbed nearby trees and a mobile tower.

Police had to use a fire brigade crane to bring down the farmers from the mobile tower,

At around 9.34 am the Delhi Fire Services was alerted about some of these farmers climbing up the mobile tower. The rescue team of the fire services rushed to the spot and rescued the persons who had climbed the mobile towers. No one received any injury during the entire episode.
