TV Actor Bhupinder Singh Murders Youth & Injures 3 Others, Arrested in UP

Lucknow: Television actor Bhupinder Singh was arrested for his involvement in the murder of a youth over a land dispute in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district on Tuesday.

Bhupinder Singh has played key roles in TV serials like ‘Jai Mahabharat’, ‘Ek Haseena Thi’, ‘Tere Sheher Mein’, ‘Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon’ etc.

As per reports, he fired from his licensed revolver, killing one youth, and injuring three others. The police registered a complaint against the TV actor and arrested him. Two aides of the actor managed to escape.

This violent incident occurred because of a land dispute over ownership of a tree located at the property boundary of his farm house.

The actor entered into a heated argument with his neighbour and later fired at them from his licensed pistol.

Three persons, Gurdeep Singh, his wife Meerabai, and their son Amrik Buta Singh were seriously injured. Gurdeep Singh’s 22-year-old son Gobind Singh died on the spot.

While Gyan Singh was taken into custody on Tuesday evening, his aides in the crime, Jeevan Singh and Gurjar Singh are on the run.
