Two Arrested For Pelting Stones at Rourkela-Puri Vande Bharat Express

Bhubaneswar: Two persons were arrested by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Tuesday in Dhenkanal district on charges of pelting stones at Rourkela-Puri Vande Bharat Express train.

During interrogation, the arrested duo confessed that they had pelted stones at Vande Bharat Express in an inebriated state for fun. Both were forwarded to the JMFC court in Dhenkanal after the arrest.

Stones thrown by these miscreants between Meramandali and Budhapank railway stations in Angul-Dhenkanal Railway Section of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Sunday evening, damaged the windowpane of an Executive Chair Car Coach of the Vande Bharat Express.

Personnel of the RPF, Government Railway Police (GRP) with the help of local police nabbed the two persons from an isolated spot beside the train tracks.
