Kidnapping for ‘Love Triangle’, 4 Persons Arrested

Bhubaneswar: Four persons including two minors were taken into custody by the personnel of the Nayapalli police station in Bhubaneswar on charges of kidnapping a youth over a ‘love triangle’ on March 11.

According to police sources, one Raja Sethi was taken hostage by some sword-wielding miscreants on March 11 evening, while he was speaking with his female friend Priya Nayak near the Passport Office near the CRP square in the capital city.

The kidnappers reportedly took Raja to Puri and kept him as hostage. There he was threatened to snap ties with Priya.

Following a complaint lodged by Priya, personnel of the Nayapalli police station started an investigation and arrested Priya’s friend, Ankit Kahnra, her brother Prakash Nayak and two others in connection with the case. Raja was rescued from Puri.

Investigation has revealed that Ankit could not tolerate Priya’s closeness with Raja. He along with Priya’s brother Prakash hatched a conspiracy to abduct Raja.
