IPL Betting Racket Unearthed in Puri, 5 Arrested

Bhubaneswar: An illegal IPL betting racket operating in Puri town was busted by the local police. Five persons involved in the betting racket were arrested.

According to police sources, a house in the Baliapanda area of Puri where this IPL betting racket was operating was raided by the police on Wednesday night. The five accused were arrested from the spot.

According to reports, the arrested accused were inhabitants of Chhattisgarh.

The police have seized an LED TV, a sound system, four mobile phones, a register, some cash and other electronic gadgets from the possession of the arrested persons. An investigation is underway to find other accused involved in the betting racket.
