Accidental Firing Kills Policeman in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada

Raipur: A constable of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) died and another policeman was injured due to an accidental firing of a firearm in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district on Wednesday night.

As per reports, this accidental firing happened at around 11 pm on Wednesday when a joint team of the DRG and Bastar Fighter, both units of state police, was out on an anti-Maoist operation in Barsoor police station limits.

During the operation, two DRG constables – Jograj Karma and Parsuram Alami – suffered bullet injuries in an accidental firing, said a release of Chhattisgarh police.

While being rushed to a hospital, Karma died due to excessive bleeding. Alami was airlifted to Raipur for treatment.
