Two High-Ranking ISIS Terrorists Arrested in Assam

Guwahati: Two high-ranking leaders of the terrorist outfit ISIS were arrested by a Special Task Force (STF) team in Assam on Wednesday.

The arrested ISIS terrorists were identified as Harish Farooqui alias Harish Ajmal Farooqui and Anurag Singh alias Rehan. According to a report in The Statesman, they were apprehended in the Dharmasala area of Dhubri.

Assam Police claimed that Harish Farooqui was the head of the ISIS India unit. He and Anurag Singh were involved in various terrorist activities in the country.

Harish is a resident of Dehradun, and Anurag hails from Panipat. Both are believed to be involved in orchestrating and facilitating acts of terror across the country.

After arrest, both terrorists were transferred to the custody of the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
