Two Teachers Suspended in Nabarangpur Dist for Taking Part in Political Rally

Nabarangpur: The Nabarangpur District Collector-cum-District Election Officer suspended two school headmasters for violating the election Commission’s Model Code of Conduct for government employees.

The suspended teachers included Gautam Charan Sahu, the acting headmaster of Patarriguda Government High Primary School and Manoj Kumar Bhatra, the acting headmaster of Pujariguda (B) Primary School under Dabugaon block.

Both were suspended on Sunday and were directed to be stationed at the Dabugaon Block Education Officer’s (BEO) office.

These two teachers reportedly attended the public meeting of the BJD leader VK Pandian on April 26. The BJP leaders of the area had filed a written complaint with the Chief Election Officer, Odisha about them. The CEO directed the Nabarangpur District Collector to investigate the matter and take necessary actions.
