Udhampur Attack Mastermind, Aide of LeT Chief Hafiz Saeed, Shot Dead in Pakistan

Hanzla Adnan, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan’s Karachi. This close aide of LeT chief Hafeez Saeed was the mastermind of the terrorist attack on a BSF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur in 2015, in which two BSF soldiers were killed and 13 other jawans were injured.

Considered to be a close associate of Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, Hanzla Adnan was killed outside his house on the intervening nights of December 2 and 3. Four bullets pierced his body and he was seriously injured.

Pakistani army transported the bullet-ridden LeT terrorist secretly to a hospital in Karachi, where he died on December 5. Earlier Hanzla Adnan was operating from Rawalpindi. Recently he had shifted to Karachi.

According to sources, Hanzla Adnan was backed by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and the Pakistan army to carry out terror attacks in India.

Hanzla Adnan’s death follows Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode’s death in Pakistan on December 2. Rode reportedly died of a heart attack.
