UP Constable Recruitment Exam Cancelled Following Paper Leak

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday cancelled the police constable recruitment exam conducted in the state on February 17 and 18 following evidence related to the question paper leak.

According to sources, the re-examination will be conducted in the next six months. The date for the re-examination has not been announced.

Taking to the X, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Orders have been given to cancel the examination-2023 conducted for selection to the posts of Reserve Civil Police and to conduct re-examination within the next six months.”

“There can be no compromise with the sanctity of examinations,” he added.

“Those who play with the hard work of the youth will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action is certain to be taken against such unruly elements,” he said.

Till now at least 244 persons have been arrested or detained by the UP police for allegedly adopting unfair means in the police constable recruitment exam.
