Violent Group Clash at Bhadrak Hospital, 3 Seriously Injured, 5 Platoons of Police Deployed

Bhadrak: Three persons were seriously injured in a violent group clash on the premises of the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital on Tuesday night.

The injured persons were admitted to the hospital.

According to initial reports, this group clash was over a dispute over a patch of land in the Charampa area.

Tension sparked off on the hospital campus when some miscreants gave death threats to Subhakanta Pati, proprietor of a local hotel, and planned to murder him.

The group of miscreants attacked Pati at around midnight. This led to a violent clash between the assailants and Pati’s supporters on the hospital premises.

Receiving information, the personnel of Bhadrak police rushed to the spot and resorted to a mild lathi charge to take the situation under control. Five platoons of police forces were deployed on the hospital premises to avoid any further untoward incidents.
