As per an assessment, the wine that spilled out might have filled an Olympic-sized swimming pool. This spillage also caused an environmental alert.
Officials immediately intervened and tried their best to stop the wine flow before it entered the Certima River. The Anadia Fire Department shut off the flood and moved it away from the river. The wine flow was led to a nearby field, New York Post reported.
But the wine flooded a basement at a residence near the distillery as well.
