Wild Tusker Found Dead in Keonjhar District

Keonjhar: The body of a wild elephant was found in the Telkoi area under the Salleikla block of Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Friday.

Villagers of the area discovered the elephant carcass and informed the forest officials about it.

According to Forest Department officials, the dead elephant was around 20 years old.

The reason behind the death of the tusker is yet to be ascertained. According to forest officials, the reason behind this elephant’s death will be known after its autopsy.

Some days back, another elephant died in the region getting hit by a train.
