Winter Chill to Arrive Odisha in 24-Hrs, Temp to Drop by 3-4 Degrees

Bhubaneswar: The winter chill will arrive in Odisha in a day as the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre on Monday predicted a fall in the night temperature by 3-4°C after 24 hours.

“No large change in minimum temperature during next 24 hours and fall by 3-4°C in subsequent 2 to 3 days at many places over the districts of Odisha,” the MeT office said in its midday bulletin.

The Met office has also forecast light to moderate rain in some parts of the state for two days. Dry weather is likely to prevail across Odisha thereafter.

The mercury plummeted to 11°C during the last days of October. But after that, there was a slight rise in the minimum temperature throughout the state.

During last 24 hours, Koraput recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13.2°C  followed by Jharsuguda at 16.2°C.
