Woman Throws Own Son in Canal After Fight With Husband in Mayurbhanj

Baripada: A woman could kill her own baby because of a marital tussle with her husband at Bankidihi village under Bishoi police station limits in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Tuesday.

A woman named Parvati Naik threw her one-and-a-half-month-old son into a canal near the village on Tuesday morning following a marital quarrel with her husband.

The dead body of the child was fished out by the villagers. Receiving information about the incident, police personnel reached the spot, seized the body and sent it to Rairangpur Hospital for postmortem.

The cruel mother was arrested.
