Youth Beaten to Death by Friends During Feast in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: A feast organized on Tuesday night to celebrate the advent of the New Year turned violent at Patrapali village under Laikera police limits in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district. A youth was thrashed to death by his friends during the feast.

The deceased was identified as Bipin Bhoi (25).

According to police sources, Bipin along with his friends had arranged a feast in the locality. But for some reason, they had a quarrel which aggravated into the violent incident. Manoj’s friends beat him to death with sticks. Manoj was chased on the village road and thrashed ruthlessly till he became lifeless.

Police have taken six persons into custody in relation to this killing. They ar reported to be from a single family. The body was seized and sent for post-mortem.
