Youth Using Morphed Nude Photos to Blackmail Girls Arrested in Cuttack

Cuttack: A youth named Dinesh Sethi was arrested by the personnel of the Cuttack Cyber police station for allegedly blackmailing a woman by circulating her morphed nude photographs using a fake account on Instagram.

The arrested man is a resident of Pattamundei in Kendrapara district.

It is alleged that after befriending the girl on instagram, Dinesh downloaded some of her photos, which he morphed and shared on a fake Instagram account. Then he tried to extort money from the victim to delete the morphed photos.

Following a complaint lodged by the brother of the victim, police arrested Dinesh.

Initial investigation has revealed that Dinesh used the same modus operandi to blackmail and extort money from at least 100 women in the past.
