Flipkart to Launch Same-Day Deliveries Across 20 Indian Cities in February

New Delhi: Leading e-commerce platform Flipkart has announced its plans to introduce same-day deliveries in select regions across the country. While the specific launch date is yet to be disclosed, the company has outlined a tentative timeline for the rollout. The service is set to debut in February, initially catering to customers in 20 cities, including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and more.

To avail of the same-day delivery option, customers must place their orders for eligible items by 1 pm. Flipkart ensures delivery before midnight for orders placed within this timeframe. Any orders placed after 1 pm will be delivered the following day. The company aims to gradually expand this service to encompass users nationwide, covering a diverse range of products such as mobiles, fashion items, beauty products, lifestyle goods, books, and electronics.

This move by Flipkart is in response to the competitive landscape, with Amazon already offering various shipping options, including same-day delivery, particularly for its Prime members. Amazon Prime subscribers enjoy free same-day, one-day, and two-day delivery, while non-Prime users can access these options for an additional fee. Prime Lite members benefit from free two-day delivery, while others incur an extra cost for the same service.
