7-Yr-Old Girl Raped, Murdered in Bihar; Body Found in Maize Field

Patna: The body of a seven-year-old girl was found in a maize field in Bihar’s Purnea district on Friday. She is suspected to be raped and murdered.

The body of the victim was located a day after she went missing on Thursday from her home at a village under the Rupauli police station area in the Purnea district.

The deceased child’s family members alleged that she was raped before being tortured and strangled to death. According to them one of her eyes was also damaged. They alleged that one of their neighbours was involved in the heinous crime.

Police have detained two suspects for interrogation.
