Man Who Raped & Murdered a 4-Yr-Old Girl Arrested in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Personnel of the Airfield police station in Bhubaneswar arrested Surendra alias Ghania, who allegedly raped and murdered a minor girl at the Kela Sahi slum in the Sundarpada area on Monday.

The arrested accused was a drunkard in the past and he was recently released from a de-addiction centre.

According to reports, the accused had entered the house of the victim while her parents were not at home on the pretext of giving her candies.

The accused raped the girl and when she screamed for help, Ghania slit her throat with a sharp weapon. After committing the crime, he absconded from the spot to escape arrest.

After returning home, the parents of the girl found her dead in a pool of blood.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by the parents of the girl, the Airfield police registered a case and started an investigation.
