Elderly Man Sexually Assaults 3-Yr-Old Girl in Gajapati Dist, Arrested

Paralakhemundi: An elderly man was arrested in Gajapati district of Odisha on Friday on charges of sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl.

The accused was identified as Balaram Naik of Asahi village under Mohana police station limits in the Gajapati district.

On Thursday evening, Balaram found the minor girl alone and allegedly lured her in the name of getting her some sweets from a nearby shop.

But the accused took her to a nearby forest and molested her.

When the girl’s parents did not find her at home, they searched for her and located the girl in an unconscious state in the forest. Later on, the girl told about her ordeal to her parents.

Getting information about the incident, Mohana police launched a probe and arrested Balaram.
