All Schools Closed in Gajapati Dist Till Tomorrow for Cyclone Michaung

Bhubaneswar: Gajapati district administration in Odisha has ordered all schools in the district to remain closed till Wednesday in view of cyclone Michaung. The schools to remain closed include the primary schools, upper primary schools, High Schools and Anganwadi centres.

The Office of the Gajapati District Collector has issued a notification in this regard.

As per the IMD forecast, several parts of Odisha are likely to receive heavy rainfall because of the Cyclone Michaung that wil make its landfall in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued Orange and Yellow Warnings for districts in Odisha.

December 5: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Ganjam (Orange Warning).

Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Puri (Yellow Warning).

December 6: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada (Yellow Warning).
