Acid Attack on Mother and Daughter in Ayodhya

Lucknow: A woman and her mother were injured when a 24-year-old youth allegedly threw acid on them in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya. Ayodhya police arrested the accused on Wednesday.

The assailant and the victims were living in the same area in Ayodhya. The accused was trying to woo the girl, but she rejected his advances.

It is alleged that while the girl was with her mother at their home, the accused threw acid on them and escaped from the spot.

The two women were shifted to a hospital where they were treated for their injuries. They are currently recovering at home, police said.
