3.6 Kg Pangolin Scales Seized from Four Poachers Arrested in Mayurbhanj Dist

Baripada: Four poachers were nabbed in Karanjia Forest Division in Mayurbhanj district on Thursday. Pangolin scales weighing 3.6kg was seized from their possession.

The four accused arrested by the forest officials were identified as Gourang Mankadia, Manik Deogam, Matu Ho, and Salai Sidu. All of them were from the Kendumundi area.

The poachers were caught red-handed while they were trying to sell the pangolin scales.

The arrested poachers are being interrogated to find out whether they were involved in the killings of the pangolins in Similipal sanctuary or received the pangolin scales from any other source.
