Body of Police Constable With Legs, Hands Tied Found in Hotel Room in Balangir

Balangir: The Body of a police constable with his hands and legs tied up was discovered inside a hotel room in Balangir on Friday. The deceased was identified as Shankarbhanu Behera, a constable of the Reserve Police at Subarnapur.

According to reports, Shankarbhanu Behera along with one Vineet Sharma stayed in room no. 212 of the hotel near the railway station on Thursday.

On Friday morning, the hotel staff found Behera’s dead body inside the room with his limbs tied. Vineet Sharma was not found in the room. He is still absconding.

On being informed, personnel of the Balangir Town police station reached teh spot, seized the body and have launched an investigation.
