CBI Arrests Ranchi MBBS Student in NEET-UG Paper Leak Case

Ranchi: A first year MBBS student (2023 batch) of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday in the NEET-UG paper leak case.

The medical student identified as Surbhi Kumari is a native of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. She has been remanded to three-day judicial custody after being produced in a special court in Patna.

She is part of the solvers group and was physically present on May 5 morning at Hazaribagh to solve the papers.

Earlier on Thursday, CBI arrested four students from AIIMS Patna, who are said to be members of the paper solvers gang.

The AIIMS Patna students have been accused of helping the notorious “solver gang” of Nalanda solve the leaked question papers.

A person identified as Surendra Kumar, a native of Hazaribagh, has also been arrested.
