Cow Vigilantes Chase and Shoot Dead Class 12 Student in Haryana

Chandigarh: Aryan Mishra, a class-12 student from Haryana’s Faridabad was chased and shot dead by members of a cow vigilante group near Haryana’s Gadhpuri on August 23.

The accused chased the victim’s car for over 25 kilometres on the Delhi-Agra highway before shooting him down.

The members of the killer cow vigilante group have been identified as Anil Kaushik, Varun, Krishna, Adesh, and Saurabh, reported NDTV. All of them are in police custody.

According to police sources, the weapon used to kill the victim was illegal.

These cow vigilantes received information from some sources that cattle ‘smugglers’ were leaving the city in Renault Duster and Toyota Fortuner after picking up cows from the area.

While searching for cow ‘smugglers’, the cow vigilante group spotted a Duster car at Patel Chowk in which the victim was travelling along with his friends.

When the vigilantes asked them to stop the car, Aryan and his friends did not stop, believing that they were being chased by a criminal gang.

This increased the suspicion of the cow vigilantes, who chased their car and shot at it, killing Aryan.
