Extortion by Rape Charge Threat, 2 Women Arrested in Goa

Goa: Two women were arrested in Goa on charges of extortion through threats of filing rape charges against victims.

According to Goa police, investigators found that these two arrested women had already filed three rape cases in Goa and another two in Gujarat.

These two women and their third accomplice from Gujarat’s Bhavnagar were arrested under sections 386 (extortion) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

The racket of these women came to fore, when Kiran Patel, the man who was accused of raping these women came up with the complaint that the two women, who “honey trapped” him, threatened to file rape charges against him if he didn’t pay Rs 2 lakh.
