Man Shot Dead, 2 Injured in Manipur

Imphal: A 41-year-old man died and two others were injured when unidentified assailants fired at them in the Naoremthong area of Manipur’s Imphal West district.

This firing incident took place on Saturday evening outside their rented house. The deceased was identified as Shree Ram Hangsada, a man from Jharkhand. The injured were identified as Bittu Murmu (22) and Mitalal Soran (50).

According to the police sources, these three persons were migrant workers serving a private Infratech company.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the shooting and to arrest the assailants.
