2 CRPF Personnel Killed, 2 Injured in Militant Attack in Manipur

Imphal: Two personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died and two others were injured when armed militants attacked an outpost in the Naransena area of Manipur’s Bishnupur district in the wee hours of Saturday.

This militant attack occurred between midnight and 2.15 am. The armed militants hurled a bomb into the outpost of the security forces. The personnel of the CRPF’s 128 Battalion deployed in the Naransena area were victims of this attack.

The deceased were identified as CRPF sub-inspector N Sarkar and head constable Arup Saini. The injured personnel are inspector Jadav Das and constable Aftab Hussain, who received splinter wounds.

A massive search was underway to track down the attackers.
