CoBRA Commander Hacked to Death by Maoists in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Tijau Ram Bhuarya, a Company Commander of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) of CRPF posted in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district was brutally hacked to death by axes by a group of Maoists.

The deceased was part of the 4th Battalion of CoBRA stationed in the Darbha area of Chhattisgarh.

According to police sources, a group of Maoists armed with axes attacked Tijau whiel he along with other security personnel was involved in market surveillance. After killing the CoBRA commander, the Maoists escaped from the spot of crime in the Kutru police station area.
