Man Tries to Flee in Woman’s Disguise  After Attacking Wife, Brother; Arrested in Kendrapara Dist

Kendrapara: A man trying to escape in a woman’s disguise after making lethal attacks on his wife and brother was arrested by police at Madhusudanpur village under Patkura police station limits in Kendrapara district.

The accused identified as Bikram Das (42) was acquitted by the court in a triple murder case two months back.

According to reports, on Sunday, Bikram made lethal attack on his wife Subhadra (38) and younger brother Sangram (39).

Following the attack, he tried to escape wearing blue female kurta, pink leggings, and a dupatta to dodge the police. Acting on a complaint lodged by Sangram, local police started a manhunt to nab him.

Disguised as a woman, Bikram boarded a bus and sat with the women passengers. But his co-passengers sensed something fishy when they saw stubble on the face of the person who posed as a woman.

The passengers in the bus caught hold of Bikram and handed him over to the police. He was arrested and booked under Sections 307, 294, 323, 504 and 506 of the IPC.

In November 2018, Bikram was arrested in the alleged murder of three members of a family in Madhusudanpur village. After spending six years in jail, he was acquitted by a court two months back as all the 29 witnesses turned hostile.
