Man Missing After Crocodile Dragged Him Into Hansua River in Front of His Wife

Kendrapara: A man was dragged away into the Hansua river by a crocodile on Friday at Dakhinabheda village under Rajnagar block in Odisha’s Kendrapara district.

Efforts are on to rescue the victim, identified as Nimain Malik. Malik and his wife were irrigating their agricultural field on the banks of the Hansua river, when a crocodile came out of the water and attacked him. The crocodile dragged him into the river despite all attempts by his wife to save him.

After receiving information, the officials of the Forest department and police rushed to the spot to start a search operation with the help of the locals.
