Bandra: Noted screenwriter and father of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, Salim Khan was allegedly threatened by a man and a burqa-clad woman in Mumbai’s Bandra area, with the duo invoking the name of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, police reported on Thursday.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when Khan was seated at Bandra Bandstand after his morning walk. According to authorities, the couple approached him on a two-wheeler after taking a U-turn, and the man allegedly asked, “Lawrence Bishnoi ko bheju kya?” (Should we send Lawrence Bishnoi to you?).

Following the threat, the couple fled the scene. Khan’s bodyguard subsequently lodged a complaint at the Bandra police station, leading to a case being registered.
