Patanjali Yog Peeth to Build World’s Largest Gurukul

New Delhi: The foundation stone of the world’s largest Gurukul – ‘Patanjali Gurukulam’ will be laid by Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on the occasion of 29th foundation day of the Patanjali Yog Peeth on January 6, said Baba Ramdev.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal etc are expected to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony, said Baba Ramdev in Haridwar.

Ramdev said that the Gurukul, which was started 118 years ago by Swami Darshanand with 3 ‘bighas’ of land, 3 ‘Brahmacharis’ and 3 ‘chavannis’, has been named Swami Darshanand Gurukul Mahavidyalaya Jwalapur.

According to him, a seven-storey Patanjali Gurukulam, a branch of Acharyakulam and the Maharshi Dayanand Guest House will be constructed at a combined expenditure of more than Rs 500 crore.

“The period of glory of Sanatan is going on all over the country. On the one hand, the awareness of Sanatan, the awareness of India and on the other hand, the awareness of modern subjects, that is, the country’s best spiritual education, the education of Sanatan, the awareness of India, the character building with the construction of the nation, the feeling of pride and self-respect will be awakened within the children,” he said.
