New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the finalists of Smart India Hackathon-2022 through video conferencing on August 25 at 8 pm. At the Hackathon, students will find ways to solve problems they face in their daily lives. It aims to create a culture of product innovation, problem-solving, and unique thinking among students.

A prize of Rs 1 lakh will be awarded to the winner of the Smart India Hackathon who has found a solution to each problem. Prizes of Rs 1 lakh, 75 thousand, and 50 thousand rupees will be given to the students under the Nine Aries category.

In this regard, Union Education Minister Subhash Sarkar said that like every year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will exchange ideas with the finalists of the Smart India Hackathon (AIH). In this year’s hackathon, students will participate in crime statistics, hotspot mapping using artificial intelligence and machine learning, multimedia data transfer through police radio sets, nature of temple records, and translation into Devanagari script.

Work on many problems including creating high-performance 3D models, and monitoring systems for the cold storage supply chain for perishable food items will also be discussed. More than 15,000 students participated in the software and hardware editions of the Smart India Hackathon.
