Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Laila Majnu’ to Re-Release in Theatres on Aug 9

Mumbai: Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Laila Majnu’ will have its theatrical re-release on August 9. It is the Bollywood debut film of Triptii Dimri with Avinash Tiwary.

Imtiaz Ali shared the news on social media and wrote, “Laila Majnu back on popular demand!!! Gratitude to your love that pulled it into theatres again after six years!! Re-releasing 9th Aug ‘24 in cinemas nationwide (check picture) congratulations team LM (sic).”

‘Laila Majnu’ of Imtiaz Ali is a contemporary version of the classic Persian love story. Directed by Sajid Ali, the film captivates with its poetic narrative and stunning Kashmiri landscapes.

The film was presented by Imtiaz Ali and co-produced by Ektaa Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Preety Ali. Besides Triptii and Avinash, the film also stars Sahiba Ali, Sumit Kaul, Sujata Sehgal, among others.
