Nandita and Kapil Sharma’s coming film ‘Zwigato’ selected for 47th Toronto International Film Festival

Hindi movie ‘Zwigato’ produced by Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives has been officially selected for the 47th Toronto International Film Festival-2022. It will be a world premiere in the contemporary world cinema category of TIFF.

Surely this is a matter of pride for Odisha as Nandita Das, the famous filmmaker of Odisha and international fame, has made this movie with Bollywood star comedian Kapil Sharma. The movie was shot last February in and around Bhubaneswar, Khandagiri, and JDCA Art Center. According to the story, in this movie, Kapil played the role of a food delivery boy while Shahana Goswami played the role of his wife. It is said that Bollywood artists and some orthodox artists will be involved in the movie.

About the movie, Kapil said, I am very happy and excited to work in this movie. Because I have worked in Nandita Das’s film. Similarly, Sahana said, Nandita is grateful to her for being a part of this journey. Nandita has made her own unique identity as a successful and best filmmaker and actress in the world of Indian cinema. While Nandita has written and directed the story of the movie, Sameer Patil assisted her in composing. Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, and Nandita are behind the rest of the production.
