Prequel ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ to Rule Theatres on Dec 20

Disney’s much-anticipated prequel, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ will be released in theatres throughout the world on December 20, 2024.

This prequel is directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Barry Jenkins. ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ will tell the story of the origins of the iconic character, Mufasa, the father of Simba.

The movie will show Mufasa’s early years and his relations with his brother Taka, who later becomes the villainous Scar in ‘The Lion King’.

The recently released trailer of the film offers a breathtaking glimpse into the majestic world of the African savannah as the backdrop of the Mufasa’s remarkable story.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the 2019 remake of the original 1994 film was loved by viewers all over the world. Jeff Nathanson has penned the script for ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’.
