Rajinikanth Bashes Up Goons With Chain of Gold Watches in Coolie Teaser

Chennai: The title teaser of Rajinikanth starrer Coolie, previously titled as Thalaivar 171, was released by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

In the teaser, Rajinikanth appears in his typical larger-than-life avatar, who fills up the frame and beats up goons with a chain made of gold watches in his inimitable style.

Sun TV dropped the three-minute-16-second-long teaser on Monday. It begins with a shot of goons working at their lair with gold biscuits, chains, rings and watches.

Rajinikanth makes his entry with a chain of gold watches and what follows is an action-filled sequence. In another scene, he at a table full of gold and lashes the goons with his gold chain. The legendary actor also utters his iconic Appavum Thathavum dialogue from the 1982 film Ranga. The teaser ends with Rajinikanth threatening the gang’s boss over a phone call while lying on a table filled with gold bars and cash followed by his signature laugh.

The makers announced in the video that the shooting for the film has started. The music for Coolie has been directed and composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the music for Rajinikanth’s Jailer.

Coolie is produced by Sun Pictures.
