Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth will again take up the role of a cop in his upcoming film Vettaiyan.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan is being shot across the country for its shoot. Recently, a video of Rajinikanth the set in Hyderabad, has become viral on social media.
Rajinikanth reached Hyderabad recently from Chennai to resume shooting for Vettaiyan, where he stars alongside Fahadh Faasil.
In the viral video, jubilant fans shout in joy when Rajinikanth arrives on the set in police uniform. This hints that he will portray the character of a retired police officer taking on the system in Vettaiyan.

The title teaser for Vettaiyan was unveiled earlier, in which he was seen reading a book adorned with a picture of Subhas Chandra Bose and wielding a wooden stick. Some thought, he may be playing the role of a college professor. But the recent viral video hints that he may be seen as a cop in the upcoming film.
After Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth will shoot for Thalaivar 171.
